The most common DIY mistake when a hinge pulls out of particleboard: use a longer screw. It holds for a few weeks and pulls out again. We use two-part epoxy resin that fills the void and bonds to the damaged wood fibres. The hinge re-mounted in cured epoxy holds more securely than the original.

Modern cabinet doors hang on cup hinges that are adjustable on three axes. If a door hangs crooked, scrapes the floor, or won't close properly, the hinges are usually just out of adjustment or a screw hole has worked loose. In most cases this is fixed in 15 to 20 minutes.
Repair almost always makes sense when the main structure is still intact. IKEA PAX, BESTÅ and KALLAX use standardised connection systems that we know well and carry compatible parts for. We only recommend replacing when the particleboard at the main joints has broken apart from repeated assembly and disassembly.

Can a pulled-out hinge in particleboard be permanently repaired?
Yes, with two-part epoxy resin. The resin fills the void, bonds to the damaged wood fibres, and cures harder than the original material. The hinge holds more securely after the repair than before. A longer screw does not achieve this.
Do you carry spare parts for Ikea furniture?
We carry spare parts for the most common systems, including Blum, Hettich and Ikea-compatible fittings. For specific or older models, we order the part in advance if you tell us the furniture model beforehand.
What move damage do you repair?
The most common move damage: pulled-out hinges from incorrect disassembly, missing or broken cam locks and bolts, loose or damaged backs, and broken drawer runners. We fix all of this on site in one visit.
