Many roller blinds and plissees can be mounted on window frames using clip brackets without drilling. This is the cleanest solution for rental apartments and wherever holes in the frame should be avoided. The prerequisite is a stable, load-bearing frame in plastic or aluminium without a hollow profile at the clip point.
Roller Blind Wall Mounting: When More Stability Is Needed
For heavy blinds, large windows or ceiling mounting, wall mounting with anchors is the right choice. Particularly for blackout roller blinds with side guide channels, a proper wall fixing is important so the channels sit flush and no light enters from the sides.

Can a roller blind be installed without drilling?
Yes, using clip brackets on the window frame, provided the frame is load-bearing and the profile is not hollow at the clip point. We check this before mounting. For heavier blinds, ceiling mounting or side guide channels, wall mounting is the safer choice.
What is the difference between a roller blind, plissee and duo-plissee?
A roller blind is a single panel that rolls up on a barrel. A plissee is a folded panel that folds down more compactly. A duo-plissee consists of two panels, often in different transparency levels, that can be adjusted independently. We install all three types.
Can blinds be mounted outside the window frame?
Yes, outside mounting above the frame or directly on the wall is possible. This is particularly common for blackout roller blinds with side guide channels that mount on the wall or ceiling. We scan the wall first.
