Many smart home devices need app configuration on your phone after physical installation. That sounds simple, but for camera apps, smart locks, or video doorbells it often involves creating accounts, scanning QR codes, setting up notifications, and naming devices. We handle all of that and walk you through the key functions afterwards.
App Setup for Smart Home Devices
Security cameras, video doorbells, smart locks, smart thermostats, Hue bulbs — all of them need their own app. We install these apps on your smartphone, connect the devices to your Wi-Fi, test all notifications, and give you a brief walkthrough of daily use.
If you have multiple devices that should work together — for example a doorbell and smart lock, or cameras and Alexa — we set up those integrations too.

Factory Reset: When It Helps and What to Watch Out For
A factory reset wipes all saved settings, Wi-Fi credentials, user accounts, and automations from the device. It makes sense when a device behaves incorrectly after an update, when it will no longer connect to Wi-Fi, or when it is being passed on to a new owner.
Important: before the reset, all login credentials for linked accounts (e.g. Ring account, Nuki account, Apple ID) should be to hand, as they will need to be re-entered afterwards. We go through this with you before starting the reset so no credentials are lost.
For devices you are selling or passing on: a factory reset alone is often not enough. We also remove the device from the manufacturer account so the new owner can set it up without issues.

Yes, we handle the software setup and app configuration. For physical installation — for example mounting a security camera or video doorbell — we can do that too. Just describe what you need and we will confirm before the appointment.
What happens when an app stops working after an update?▾
This happens more often than expected. We check the device on site, verify whether the app needs updating, whether settings were reset, or whether a restart is enough. For persistent issues we carry out a factory reset and reinstall everything cleanly.
I have forgotten my Wi-Fi password and cannot connect new devices. What now?▾
The password can be read or reset through the router interface. We do this on site, document the new password for you, and reconnect all household devices afterwards.
Can you set up Alexa, Google Home or Apple HomeKit?▾
Yes. We set up voice assistants, link existing smart home devices, and create basic routines — for example 'Alexa, goodnight' switches off all lights and locks the door.
How long does an appointment take?▾
For a single device or app setup, allow 30 to 45 minutes. When several devices need to be set up or linked, we plan 60 to 90 minutes. We give you a realistic estimate beforehand.
