Assembly
Floor measured, furniture leveled, fittings adjusted, wall anchoring placed.
Done
Doors and drawers checked, packaging taken away, left clean.
We assemble all IKEA furniture in Vienna: from a single KALLAX shelf to a PAX wardrobe system with interior fittings and sliding doors. The difference from DIY assembly usually comes down to the details: compensating for floor deviations, measuring diagonals, adjusting fittings correctly. In Vienna's Altbau apartments, these steps matter.
Altbau floors often deviate 1 to 3 centimetres. PAX has adjustable feet, but they need to be set correctly. For KALLAX and BESTÅ, we use furniture shims. Every wardrobe is then anchored to the wall, regardless of how fully it is loaded.
PAX, KALLAX and BESTÅ: what matters for each model
With PAX, the thin back panel is the structural backbone. We measure both diagonals before fixing it. With BESTÅ, every door and push-to-open fitting is adjusted after assembly, as factory settings rarely suit the actual door thickness. With KALLAX, correct alignment of the back panel ensures all compartments sit flush.
PAX sliding doors (PAXHOLM, AULI) require precisely parallel tracks. The top and bottom rails must be laser-aligned on Altbau ceilings and uneven floors, otherwise doors run stiffly or jump out of the track.
IKEA bed systems
We assemble MALM, HEMNES and FJELLSE beds completely, including slat holders and underbed drawers. For loft beds (KURA, STUVA), we check all safety connections after assembly. BRIMNES and HEMNES combinations with headboards and storage panels are no problem either.
