We handle office furniture assembly in Vienna, for your home office and for businesses. Desk, shelving, filing cabinet, monitor arm and cables in one visit. Fixed price from €60, with an invoice to your company if needed.
A single desk is quick to assemble. For an office with several workstations, planning matters: which furniture goes first, where the cables run, when we can work without disturbing anyone. We agree this in advance, with a clear price per item.
What we assemble
IKEA office furniture such as TROTTEN, ALEX, BROR and KALLAX as a room divider, plus desks and office systems from other brands. Filing cabinets, pedestals, conference tables and reception counters too.
Height-adjustable desks
After assembly, the control unit usually needs an initial reset: the desk runs all the way down and learns its starting position there. Without this step it often does not travel its full range or stops partway. We do this according to the maker's instructions (for example Flexispot or Linak) and save your sitting and standing heights on request.
Monitor arm on the wall or on the desk
A monitor arm on the wall clears your desk. Because the arm acts like a lever, we check the wall first (brick, concrete, drywall or Ytong) and then choose the right plug.
If you don't want to drill, a desk clamp is the alternative. We check beforehand whether your desktop is strong enough and use protective pads on thin or coated tops.
Desk cable management
We mount cable trays under the desktop, fix power strips to the underside and run cables in wall channels. A cable channel for the HDMI cable below the TV is possible too. Plastic cable channels can be painted to match the wall.
New sockets or in-wall wiring are not part of this service. That work is done by an external, licensed electrician.
Cable management during assembly, not as an afterthought
Routing cables after the furniture is built is fiddly and rarely looks good. It works better when planned during assembly: use the cable openings in the desktop and fit the cable tray before the computer and monitor go on the desk.
That is why we route the cables while we assemble. Power strips lying on the floor can be fixed under the desktop or behind the filing cabinet on request.
With IKEA TROTTEN desks, check where the cable opening in the desktop should go before assembly. Moving it later is possible, but unnecessary work.
Why a wall-mounted monitor arm needs more hold than you think
A monitor arm works like a lever. The further the monitor sits from the wall, the harder it pulls on the top screws. An 8 kg monitor on an arm with 40 cm reach creates around 31 Nm (newton metres, a measure of this lever force) at the wall plate.
Plugs meant for pictures or mirrors are not made for this. In brick and concrete we use heavy-duty plugs. In drywall we use metal cavity anchors that spread behind the board. If the wall is not strong enough for your monitor, we tell you beforehand and suggest a desk clamp.
When buying a monitor arm, check that it is explicitly made for wall mounting and carries your monitor's weight. Some arms are built for desk clamps only.

What is the difference between a wall-mounted and a desk-clamp monitor arm?
On the wall, the arm sits most firmly and your desk stays clear. A desk clamp needs no drilling and is easy to move, but it only fits desktops of a suitable thickness and material. In rented apartments many people choose the clamp. Describe your wall and desk briefly, and we will advise you.
What is included in cable management?
Cable tray under the desk, a box or holder for the power strip, cable channels on the wall and velcro ties for cable bundles. New sockets or in-wall wiring are not included, that needs an external, licensed electrician.
Do you supply the monitor arm, or do I bring my own?
You buy the arm, we install it. The most common monitor mounts are VESA 75x75 and 100x100 mm (the hole spacing on the back). If you are unsure which arm fits, we can advise you briefly beforehand.
