Which beds we assemble
Standard beds like IKEA MALM, HEMNES, BRIMNES, NEIDEN and TARVA are the most common jobs. Beds with drawers or integrated storage take a little longer because the mechanisms need to be checked. Upholstered frames and box spring beds often come without clear instructions — we know all the common variants. Beds from Westwing, Home24, Otto, Rauch or Amazon Basics: all fine.
Loft beds: safety is not optional
A loft bed is a safety job. A child's weight at 1.5 to 2 metres, movement, safety rails, lateral forces on the wall: every connection must hold. We follow a fixed protocol on every loft bed. All bolt connections are checked with a torque wrench, safety rails tested for correct seating and load resistance, wall anchoring fitted. We do not hand over a freestanding loft bed without wall anchoring.

Altbau floors and uneven walls
Many Vienna Altbau apartments have floors that are not fully level. A bed frame that is not levelled will creak, warp over time, or put uneven pressure on the slatted base. We level the frame and slatted base before finishing the assembly.

Why loose connections in a bed frame matter
A connection that was not fully tightened during assembly works its way loose over time. The bed starts to creak, the frame flexes. On a standard bed this is annoying. On a loft bed it can be dangerous.
We check all connections systematically after assembly before handing over the bed. This takes five to ten minutes and is the only way to catch an incompletely tightened connection before the bed is used.
On beds with integrated storage or drawers, always check the drawer runners before laying the slatted base. Correcting them afterwards requires a partial disassembly.

Simple bed (MALM, HEMNES): 45 to 75 minutes. Bed with drawers or storage: 60 to 90 minutes. Standard loft bed: 90 to 120 minutes. Loft bed with desk (STUVA LOFT): 2 to 3 hours. Every quote includes a time estimate.
