You need a PoE switch or a PoE-capable router to run them. We lay the Ethernet cable and configure the PoE switch. Combined with an NVR (Network Video Recorder), this creates a complete local recording system with no cloud subscription.

It depends heavily on the number of motion triggers. With moderate activity, Arlo and Ring battery cameras last 3 to 6 months.
